This program is designed for three, four, and five-year old and Kindergarten age children of our parish. The children gather on Sunday mornings in the Faith Formation Center during both Sunday liturgies. They use "See and Hear the Good News" and "Discover the Good News".

These sessions include community-building activities, games, art, drama, songs and prayers that tie in with the scripture themes for each Sunday.

GRADE 1

Children in grade 1 gather on Mondays or Wednesdays in the Faith Formation Center.  

  • Mondays — 5:45 - 6:45 PM
  • Wednesdays — 4:30 - 5:30 PM or 5:45 - 6:45 PM.  

Children in the primary grades use "Welcome the Good News".  Their sessions include art, music, creative drama, games and many other activities that explore the scripture themes for each Sunday.  This grade also uses "Faith Activities for Catholic Kids" which reinforces the teachings of the Church with engaging and enjoyable activities.


GRADE 2

Children in grade 2 gather on Mondays or Wednesdays in the Faith Formation Center.

  • Wednesdays — 4:30 - 5:30 PM or 5:45 - 6:45 PM.  

Children in grade 2 and their families use "First Reconciliation & Beyond" and :First Eucharist & Beyond".  This sacramental preparation resource helps prepare the children for celebrating the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time.  Preparation for these sacraments requires regular attendance at faith formation sessions and Sunday liturgy. Children learn about the Eucharist through regular participation with their families.

GRADE 7

Youth in grade 7 meet on Mondays or Wednesdays in the Faith Formation Center.  

  • Monday — 5:45 - 6:45 PM
  • Wednesday — 7:00 - 8:00 PM.  

Seventh graders use the Discovering Program published by Saint Mary's Press.  Topics covered will be "Understanding Myself", "Meeting Jesus" and "Being Catholic".

Grade 8, 9, & 10 are Confirmation Preparation years.

In each grade, each candidate should participate fully in the celebration of weekly Mass.

GRADE 8

In Grade 8, each candidate should participate fully in the celebration of weekly Mass.  Candidates will submit a written summary, applying the Gospel to their life.

Each candidate must:

  • attend and participate in all of the scheduled Confirmation sessions on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
  • complete 25 hours of Christian service, both group service and individual service.
  • complete a Confirmation name report & poster.
  • participate in an interview.
  • participate in a Confirmation retreat.
  • come to the Confirmation sessions with a positive attitude and be open to all of the requirements.

GRADE 9

Each candidate should participate fully in the celebration of weekly Mass.

Each candidate must:

  • attend and participate in all four of the scheduled Confirmation sessions with his / her sponsor or a parent.
  • complete at least 25 hours of Christian Service.  This can include participating in any of the St. Boniface Youth Group service activities.
  • meet with his / her sponsor one or more time to complete faith-sharing activities.
  • complete a Confirmation journal summarizing the Confirmation sessions, meetings with their sponsors and reflecting on service projects.

GRADE 10

Each candidate should participate fully in the celebration of weekly Mass.

Each candidate must:

  • participate in a Confirmation retreat and a Confirmation practice with their sponsor / parent.
  • celebrate the Confirmation liturgy with the Bishop.
