Baptism:  Parents are expected to attend a pre-baptism session prior to celebrating a baptism.  Please call the parish office to find out the dates of the classes.  Most baptisms are held directly following a Mass.  Please call the parish office at 987-4597 to set a date.  If you would like to make other arrangements, please contact Fr. Vince to make those arrangements.

Reconciliation:  the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated beginning at 5:00 p.m. each Saturday or by appointment.  Please call Father Vince directly at 987-4597 if you would like to make special arrangements.

First Reconciliation is celebrated by students in Second Grade Faith Formation.  First Reconciliation is usually held in November.  If you need to make other arrangements, or have older children who have not celebrated First Reconciliation,  please contact Amy Slick at 987-4597 x300.

First Eucharist:  Children in Second Grade Faith Formation prepare for First Eucharist.  First Eucharist celebrations are generally held in April or May each year.  If you have older children who have not celebrated First Eucharist, please call Amy Slick at 987-4597 x300.

Confirmation:  Confirmation is celebrated for students in the tenth grade by the Bishop each year.  If you have older children who have not celebrated Confirmation, please contact Lori Hurkin at LHurkin@stbonifacechurch.org or call the Youth Formation office at 515-850-1883.

 

Marriage:  Father Vince handles arrangements for marriages directly with you.  There is a six-month preparation period.  Please call him at 987-4597 to make arrangements.

Funerals:  Father Vince handles arrangements for funerals directly with you.  Please call him at 987-4597 to make arrangements.

R.C.I.A. [Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults]:  A new program begins each September.  Sessions are held Thursday nights at 7 p.m. The sessions are for four groups of people:  people who want to become Catholic; people who have not decided to become Catholic but are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith; the spouse or fiancée of someone attending; for people who are Catholic who want to renew their faith as an adult.  Those who ultimately decide to join the Church will do so at the Easter Vigil.  Contact Deb Purcell at 987-4597 x 204 for details.
